******ATTENTION Effective 11/6/2025 ******

Protection from Stalking, Sexual Assault, or Human Trafficking dockets will be scheduled at 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM and Protection from Abuse dockets will be scheduled at 1:00 PM or 2:30 PM.

General Information:

The Protection from Abuse/ Protection from Stalking, Sexual Assault, or Human Trafficking department is located at the Sedgwick County Courthouse 525 N Main, 4th Floor.


The Clerk’s office is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government Holidays.

Protection from Stalking, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking case hearings are held remotely via Zoom each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning.

 

Protection from Abuse case hearings are held each Thursday in Jury Assembly Room located on the First Floor of the Sedgwick County District Courthouse.

Make filings with the Clerk in the following manner:

 

PORTAL: You may utilize the Kansas Protection Order Portal (www.kspop.org).
This is a court-funded portal available through your computer or mobile device. This site offers answers to questions about the process as well as provides additional resources. This is the preferred method for the court and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


How It Works:

Explore Resources​

  • Access to support and safety information, answers to common questions.

Check Eligibility

  • Answer a few questions to see if you are eligible to file for a protection order.

Complete the application

  • Respond to detailed questions, budget at least 30 minutes to complete; you can save and complete the petition later if needed.

File

  • Click on submit and your petition will be emailed to the Court Clerk. You will get further information by e-mail.

In-Person: Obtain paper packets through the link located here on this website. You may also pick up a paper packet on the Second Floor of the Sedgwick County District Courthouse. Once completed, there is a drop box located in the same area to leave your paper filing for review. The Sedgwick County Courthouse is open to the public during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government Holidays.


If you need assistance utilizing the portal or filling out your paper packet, you may contact the Sedgwick County Liaison’s Office at (316) 660-5290 to speak with a live person. The staff may be able to provide limited assistance to you with your forms.
