Kansas Judicial Branch
Americans With Disabilities Act

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

It is the policy of the Kansas Judicial Branch to comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C.A. Section 12101, et seq. (“ADA”). The ADA prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of their disability. The ADA provides, in part, that qualified individuals with disabilities shall not be excluded from participating in, nor be denied the benefits of, any program, service, or activity offered by the Kansas Judicial Branch, which includes both the district court located in each Kansas county and the appellate courts located in Topeka.

If you need an ADA accommodation to access or participate in any program, service, or activity provided to members of the public by the district court located in a specific county, please contact the ADA Coordinator of the Judicial District in which the district court is located, as indicated below. If possible, please make your request for accommodation to the District Court ADA Coordinator as soon as possible, or at least five business days prior to the program, service, or activity for which you request ADA accommodation. This will allow sufficient time for the review of your request and the provision of approved accommodations.
