Running a Crystal Report
- Open an instance of KICS.
- Select the Reports button on the tool bar.
- Click on Select Report from the drop down list under Crystal on the menu bar.
- Open the District Court folder and highlight desired report.
- Press the View/Print button.
- Depending on the report, the next window may allow the user to enter parameters for the report. The parameters may include selecting a date range or entering a desired case type. Note: the parameter must match exactly to the data in the database. For Example a hearing type parameter must match exactly, including caps (Preliminary Hearing).
- When ready, press the view button. This will show you what the report will look like and allow you to change the parameters before printing (by closing the print preview window)
- Click on the print button on the tool bar when ready to print.
a. Or if you are wanting to save this report as a file to email or use on a web site, then choose the export (arrow pointing inside an envelope) button.
b. Select the desired format type (i.e. Word, Excel, or HTML)
c. Click OK
d. Save the file in a desired folder. Remember where you save it to retrieve it later.
e. Click Save.
