Pursuant to K.S.A. 35-107, Section 8.9 of the Kansas Court Personnel Rules, and the executive memorandum issued by Governor Kathleen Sebelius on June 21, 2007, the following dates have been approved for 2008 holidays:

| President's Day | Monday, February 18, 2008 |
| Memorial Day | Monday, May 26, 2008 |
| Independence Day | Friday, July 4, 2008 |
| Labor Day | Monday, September 1, 2008 |
| Columbus Day | Monday, October 13, 2008 |
| Veterans Day | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 |
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 27, 2008 Friday, November 28, 2008 |
| Christmas Day | Thursday, December 25, 2008 |
Observance of these holidays by a district court may be deferred whenever observance of the holiday would interfere with judicial proceedings in progress.
